In the recent years the Chair of GreekTown BIA, Mr. Constantine Voidonicolas and his board have helped to grow their annual festival knows as The Taste of Danforth to be one of the world's largest street festivals. All profits from the annual festival are donated to support organizations such as:

- East General Hospital – over 1,5 million dollars
- Neighbourhood schools
- Greek community
- Old Age Home
- Greek Student Association of York
- Participation with the local Police
- All Greek parades held on the Danforth
